Technician Scientist Apprenticeship - Level 5

Johnson Matthey currently have an opportunity for an apprenticeship to become qualified as a Level 5 Technician Scientist. You will be working as part of the Production Control and Evaluation Team primarily in a supportive role to the Laboratory Analysts. Work will include the preparing and analysing samples and supporting the manning of the Labs internal stores.

It is expected that the successful candidate on completing the L5 qualification would continue onto a Level 6 Analyst (Degree equivalent) apprenticeship.

?? Ensure all regulations with regards to EHS and security are strictly observed;

?? Prepare samples for analysis submitted by approved procedure with due regard to required accuracy, precision and delivery times;

?? Ensure consumables stocked to minimum levels for Laboratory Analysts;

?? Carry out some routine analysis on samples;

?? Ensure work is performed at minimum cost by making efficient use of time, equipment and materials;

?? Ensure that the integrity of the samples and process are maintained at all times;

?? Attend approved training courses as requested;

?? Complete all apprenticeship related work on time and to the required standard;

?? To take on any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

You will have/be:
