CONTRACT: Fixed Term 4.5 hours a week

Salary GBP GBP23,851.00 pro rata

Job Summary:

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced lecturer in Photography to join the team at Bradford School of Art. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Photography.

You will be an inspirational teacher and have current or recent industry experience. Confident use of appropriate technical equipment e.g setting up a studio, dark room experience is essential as is a creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.

Experience of teaching across higher education courses is essential.

You will teach on the final year of the BA (Hons) Photography degree. The role involves the preparation, delivery and assessment of teaching and learning as well as some pastoral responsibility. Bradford School of Art actively promotes a collaborative approach, and you will be expected to contribute to creative projects with colleagues from across the School and wider Faculty.


Main Responsibilities:

?? To teach on courses specified by the Head of School.

?? To act as academic and pastoral tutor to assigned students.

?? To devise individual learning plans and provide support for learners in line with the requirements of the course.

?? To undertake research and/or scholarly activity

?? To participate in the development of workshops, laboratories and facilities, where appropriate.

?? To participate actively in the development of curriculum; and where appropriate in cross College marketing activities.

?? To be responsible to the Head of School for student discipline, counselling and guidance relating to all assigned classes.

?? To be responsible for the supervision and management of students on placements and offsite visits and activities where appropriate.

?? To implement and promote College regulations, policies and procedures.

?? To participate in relevant Course Committee activities.

?? To participate actively in the maintenance and promotion of close links with employers and training agencies.

?? To assist the Head of School with costings and control of materials and equipment when specified.

?? To undertake additional duties that may be required commensurate with the level of responsibility of the post.
