We are based in Bicester, in easy reach of high-tech centres such as Silverstone and Oxford and less than an hour by train from London.

The position we are seeking to fill is for a Production Manager.

Production Manager Requirements:

• Proven experience operating in a management capacity in a technically and quality demanding operation, with a flair for creating positive change
• Proven track record of effectively managing and leading production teams
• Industry experience in surface finishing or in a similar process driven industry, would be an advantage
• LEAN manufacturing experience and an ability to think on your feet and make good judgment calls
• Proven track record of production and resource planning, efficiency improvements and customer service
• Eligible to live and work in the UK
• Non-smokers and non-vapers only please

Responsibilities:

The successful Production Manager will conduct their work at the company's premises in Bicester. He/she will have responsibilities for

• Planning and scheduling production and resources across the 3 production lines to meet customer demand
• Planning and scheduling production and resources across the 3 production lines to meet customer demand
• Leading and managing the growing production team of 10 people, creating a culture of production excellence, fulfilment, engagement and continuous improvement
• Directly liaising with customers across all aspects of delivering the service to them that ensures, and where possible, exceeds their expectation
• Planning and scheduling maintenance activities with the maintenance engineer to ensure maximum up time with plant and machinery
• Establishing productions standards and ensuring they are met
• Tracking and measuring of performance against targets and metrics and identifying opportunities for efficiency enhancements
• Ensuring all HSE practices are in place and followed for safe and effective operating conditions
