The Marketing and Communications Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the university, comprising reputation management; brand development and oversight; recruitment campaigns; CRM and conversion campaigns; schools and colleges engagement; enquiry management and follow up; internal communications; media relations; design and publications development; Faculty marketing and recruitment; web and digital development; and market insight.


Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in De Montfort University's leading Market Insight Team. This role is a Maternity cover for 12 months or until the post holder returns.


We are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Market Research Analyst to support the rapidly expanding provision of market intelligence, which is at the very heart of what we do. Armed with strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex strategic issues, you will be conducting both primary and secondary quantitative and qualitative research and statistical analysis, as well

as capturing data in the field through focus groups and other related platforms.


Ideal Candidate

With excellent communication skills and a natural flair for writing, you will have a dynamic approach towards project management, leading on multiple projects that traverse both domestic and international markets. Ideally, you will have a degree in a social science subject or equivalent

professional qualification. With a proven track record, you will have acquired market research experience working in either an agency or client side, with extensive exposure to cross-team functions. Possessing an aptitude forproblem solving, strengthened by an analytical mindset, you will have the skills set to acquire a strategic understanding of patterns exhibited by numerous and

complex data sources, translating the findings into actionable, demand driven recommendations.


As a confident presenter, you will frequently communicate the research across senior levels. Working to tight deadlines, and comfortable with analysing and presenting data using SPSS, EXCEL and ACCESS, you will deliver reports that will assist in steering the organisation at a strategic level.
