We are looking to recruit a Workplace Risk & Resilience Coordinator in a new and exciting role within our Facilities Management function based at our Leeds office. With this role you would become part of the UK's largest provider of genuinely free independent debt advice and managed solutions.
What you will be doing
You will hold the responsibility for ensuring that the charity implements and maintains an effective Safety Management System (SMS) across all of its locations that is aligned to industry good practice and the principles of HSG65. The role will also focus on resilience and will ensure that the charity has robust processes and procedures to respond and deal with interruption and will be the custodian of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
Key accountabilities
- Identify and manage the key workplace risks and effective business continuity processes
- Develop, implement and lead on the delivery of an effective Safety Management System aligned to HSG65
- Monitor and manage the Safety Management System and chair the Health & Safety Committee
- Ensure the BCP needs of the charity are met including planning, development and management of incidents, accidents and near miss
- Plan and prepare desktop tests and exercises of the BCP, testing effectiveness and ensuring any lessons learnt are implemented and shared with the National Incident Management Team (NIMT)
- Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders providing support and challenging functional requirements
Experience and knowledge
- Holder of a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
- Member of DRII, BCI or MCBI (preferred)
- In-depth understanding of H&S and BCP practice and protocol
- Advanced skills in Microsoft office
- Ability to foster relationships and present to Senior Management
- Proven leaderships skills and capabilities
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
