Helston Town Council is an award-winning organisation that has aspirations for the community who live, work and visit the town. The Town Councillors and Officers are forward looking and believe in the town’s potential as it grows and enhances its position as the gateway to the Lizard Peninsular.
Helston Town Council is seeking to appoint an experienced and committed person who will assist the Town Clerk to deliver a broad range of services and projects. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of self-motivation. Candidates should have a sound knowledge of local government law, procedures and civic protocol together with experience of budget and project management. The Certificate in Local Council Administration (or equivalent) is desirable or candidates should be willing to work towards it.
Attendance at evening meetings will be required along with occasional civic ceremonies at weekends.
The post is a full-time appointment commencing on 1st January 2021.
