Our client are seeking an experienced IT Installation Engineer (3rd Line) to join their team based in Huddersfield.
Key Role and Responsibilities
- To provide day to day customer technical support to ensure solutions are provided quickly enabling the customer to resume working as soon as possible
Ensuring tickets are completed
- Pre-sales to internal & client facing staff, design and installation of new IT systems.
- To produce technical sales proposals and present the technical aspect of those proposals to the customer giving clear evidence as to how their business needs will be met.
- Server installs from start to finish
- Create a project plan for implementation of technical solutions for client and manage projects through to 'go live' ensuring all is delivered on time and to budget
- Ensure the delivery of each client's specific technology requirements, remote and/or on-site.
- Find potential products, evaluate and negotiate costs with suppliers ensuring best value for money is achieved
- and closed off in line with company procedures and displaying excellent customer service.
- Contributing to an effective service team performance by meeting daily, weekly and monthly KPIs by monitoring own personal performance against SLAs.
- To review & monitor client systems to ensure they are running well, and usage is optimised
- Help continually look for ways to improve the way IT services are offered and delivered to customers such that we remain ahead of the field and retain our preferred supplier status.
- Technical audits to be carried out on request for new and existing customers.
- To support internal systems for DVAD to enable the business to operate efficiently and effectively
- To ensure timely completion of all administrative documentation to ensure our internal processes remain correct and up to date.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 year's relevant IT industry experience and 1 year working with an MSP
- Strong technical skills and knowledge in all areas including but not exclusive to, Windows server 2003 and above (including SBS), Exchange server 2008 upwards, VMware/Hyper-V, SQL, and RMM systems.
- Server installs from start to finish
- A proven track record of customer service management and relationship management.
- Active Directory configuration and administration, strong networking skills.
- Microsoft 365 and Azure configuration, deployment and migration experience.
- Good understanding of Enterprise hosting solutions and outsourced services.
- Knowledge of installing computer software, hardware, setting up new users and PCs and diagnosing software errors.
- Passion to remain up to date with the latest developments.
- Extremely good communication skills, both written and oral.
- The ability to multitask, handling tickets and individuals with equal ease and professionalism.
- An out-of-box thinker who won't settle for the initial solution or idea but will always seek the best solution available for the client.
- Windows configuration and support experience (MCP or above preferred). - Desirable
- If an issue with a server arises when powering on, the successful candidate should have the skills required to diagnose/fix, so that the customer is left with a working server.
It is expected that you would be travelling to client sites 70% of the time (expenses paid). However these clients are all local so this will not involve long trips away...... click apply for full job details
