Control and Instrumentation Design Engineer

Reporting directly to the Head of Major Projects, your key duties will include:

?? Taking ownership of the electrical and C&I elements of project design packages

?? Producing design packs to client specifications

?? Responsibility for development of power and distribution designs at 415V and below

?? Translating user requirements specifications into functional design specifications

?? Producing conceptual design documents

?? Creating material specification for procurement

?? Undertaking value engineering activities to address cost or design performance

?? Maintaining design records

?? Producing factory acceptance test documentation, installation support information and commissioning documentation

?? Liaising with various teams in respect to design interface

?? Attending client meetings when required (occasional site visits which may require an overnight stay)

Key skills and experience required:

?? HNC/HND in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

?? Knowledge and experience of the design life cycle of a product

?? Experience working in a structure design engineering environment

?? Experience of producing designs for gas distribution or transmission networks, oil and gas of petrochemical industries
