1st Line Support Engineer. My Thame-based client is an established IT company specialising in supplying and supporting Microsoft Windows Networks to small and medium sized businesses. They are recruiting for ideally an experienced Customer Support Assistant with a bias towards and interest in IT to join their small team, to support a range of clients in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The role of 1st Line Support Engineer will be a mixture of office-based Help Desk and Field-based client visits (perhaps 10-15% of time). Ideally the IT Support Assistant will be experienced in supporting Microsoft Windows OS and Windows and Exchange Servers although this is not essential as they are happy to train the right candidate to their required Microsoft accredited standard. Basic networking, Outlook and knowledge of Mac would also be useful. Preference will be given to people with a dynamic personality and a willingness to learn the technicalities. The 1st Line Support will need to be commercially aware, adaptable and be able to drive to clients premises when required. Salary is 18-22K depending on previous skills and experience, and the company package includes expenses, private medical cover and pension. 1st Line Support Engineer
