Our client is an established chartered certified accountancy practice and they are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant / Accounts Semi Senior to join the team. This is a full-time role, but some flexibility is available for the right candidate.
This exciting new role will involve managing a portfolio of clients (mainly sole traders and partnerships) as well as supervising and reviewing work of junior staff. You will become part of their friendly team and can expect a modern and comfortable work environment as they have a recently renovated offices with free parking on-site and they also have a shower and changing room (to encourage walking/running/cycling to work - or lunchtime leisure activities).
The successful candidate will:
- Have worked in practice with proven experience in a similar role
- Be comfortable working with computerised records (ideally Sage & Xero)
- Have experience of reviewing junior staff member's work
- Be confident with sole trader and partnership accounts (the ability to prepare company accounts would be a definite advantage).
- Be proficient completing self-assessment tax returns
- Have experience of meeting with clients, offering support and advice
Relevant qualifications are desirable, but we will also consider applications from accountants with commensurate experience. Interviews are ongoing so apply now
