PLC Software Engineer - Lincolnshire - Permanent Opportunity - GBP35-42k
Samuel Frank Associates require an experienced PLC Software Engineer with either strong structured text programming experience in any of the major PLC platforms or some with strong ladder logic and Rockwell knowledge to join a very well established special purpose machine manufacturer in Lincolnshire.
Key requirements for PLC Software Engineer position include -
* PLC software writing experience using structured text for special purpose machinery
* Knowledge and experience of servo drives / inverter drives
* An ability to develop a technical specification
* A logical approach to developing automation software
* Practical electrical / electronic knowledge
The successful PLC Software Engineer will need to have demonstrable experience of programming PLCs from scratch using either Siemens, Rockwell or Beckhoff platforms. The Control System Engineer will predominantly be based at the client's premises with trips to UK site expected. The client expects the PLC Software Engineer time to be split 75/25 in between the workshop/office and client's premises.
The client has a new production facility and prides itself on pushing the boundaries of technology. This opportunity will suit a PLC Software Engineer passionate about control systems who ideally has a background of programming control systems for special purpose machinery.
Knowledge of British and international standards relating to the design and installation of industrial automation systems as well as experience of conducting assessments and generating technical documents to support the compliance to the Machinery Directive and other British and international standards will stand you in good stead for this opportunity.
The client is easily commutable from the following places - Worksop, Lincoln, Gainsborough, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Newark and Rotherham.
