We are looking for an experienced Development Management Project Officer (Senior Planner/Principal Planner level) to come and work with the Development Management service at Huntingdonshire District Council on an initial 6 month contract (guaranteed) with a very strong possibility for this to be extended to 12 months should all go well.
* The main focus of the role will be to efficiently progress and deal with a current backlog of cases within the service, this will include a varied caseload ranging from minor applications up to complex small and medium sized major applications. There will be specific outcome-based performance targets to measure progress.
* You will be fully capable of independent working with minimal supervision with a track record of delivering results. This role provides a great opportunity to work autonomously and with minimal supervision while managing your own workload.
* Extensive experience within a development management team in the public sector to at least senior/principal planning officer level is essential
* You will need excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
