JOB- Quality Manager
LOCATION- Swansea
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- GBP35,000 - GBP50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Quality Manager on a permanent basis in the Swansea area with experience in the with excellent knowledge of welding processes and weld procedures predominantly to BSEN & ASME specifications.
The Quality Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
Excellent knowledge of weld procedures and weld processes
Have the ability to liaise with clients at both quotation and manufacturing stages on quality issues
Good interpersonal skills
General computer knowledge with office based programmes
Understanding of requirements of quality documentation packages issued to clients
Knowledge of inspection and testing within machining, fabrication and welding environment
Good problem-solving skills
Innovative, creative and good leadership qualities
Be conversant with NDT using radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye penetrant techniquesThe Quality Manager role will involve:
Maintain welder qualification certificates
Ability to write weld procedure specifications
Day to day running of quality system certified to ISO9001 & EN1090 within engineering workshop
Assist in establishing new manufacturing standards, monitoring performance & analysing data
Assist production to minimise non-conformance of product prior to dispatch
