An outstanding Newcastle-Under-Lyme based school specifically for children with SEND, is currently looking to appoint a fulltime teaching assistant to work within their outreach department within the school.
All staff within work tirelessly to ensure the best education and care is on offer; they are very committed to and passionate about their work. The facilities are continuously developed to meet the needs of the students. There is also an effective Care and Safeguarding Department which ensure the students needs are met through a range of supportive and therapeutic interventions and family liaisons. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
You have the relevant teaching assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
You have previous experience working with children with SEND
You have experience working with young people between the ages of 12-18
You are comfortable working with challenging behaviour
You hold excellent interpersonal skills and you can form strong rapports with pupils
You are legally allowed to work in the UK
You possess a valid DBS that is registered on the Update Service or are willing to apply for a new one
