Surface Mount Operator

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Surface Mount Operator for our electronics manufacturing client based in Cambridgeshire. This is a permanent position working 4 days - Monday to Thursday, shift hours 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., shift allowance applies. You will produce surface mount PCB assemblies, ensuring high quality assemblies are produced accurately to electronic drawings.

Responsibilities:

Kit checking and tracking work, ensuring traceability of components is maintained for ISO9001 and ISO13485
Set up and operate Surface Mount Machines, Screen printing Machines and Reflow Machines.
Interpret and apply all drawings, instructions and documentation relating to manufacturing of PCB assemblies and surface mount technology.
Assemble and solder PCB assemblies and hand place components onto a pasted board
Rework manufactured components by hand solderingSkills and experience required for the Surface Mount Operator

Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
Previous experience of soldering and electronics manufacture
Experience of operating with ESD controls.
Competent with MS Office
IPC-J-STD-001 Soldered Electrical and Electronic assemblies
IPC-7711 Rework of Electrical Assemblies
Able to work under pressure without compromising quality
