Semi-Skilled Operatives

GI Group Scarborough are currently recruiting for experienced Semi-Skilled Operatives on behalf of an expanding company on the outskirts of Scarborough.

We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good attention to detail for the position of Semi-Skilled Operatives. Ideal candidates are responsible for adhering to a production schedule, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and secured and ensuring that safety standards are always met, among other duties.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company at a time when they are looking to expand the business. They are looking for candidates whose input will be integral to the period of change. It is a great time to join the company, especially for somebody who is looking to challenge themselves and grow with the company. The ideal candidates will have joinery or construction background.

HOURS

6am -2pm / 2pm- 10pm (rotation) Monday - Friday
7am-4pm Monday -Friday
6am-6pm/ 6pm-6am - Shift Pattern

Candidates MUST:-

* Aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail.
* Be highly organised with the ability to self-manage
* Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work and communicate well with others.
* Proficiency with hand tools

Duties will include:

* Working with a variety of tools and machinery to make or repair products and parts for distribution.
* Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
* Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present
* Work with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products
* Keep a clean and tidy work space
* Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry
* Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures
* Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
* Verifying dimensions and product specifications
* Ensuring that quality control standards are met
* Reporting and detailing product malfunctions
* Adhering to assembly safety standards
