Financial Accountant

Urgent requirement for a part qualified Financial Accountant for a well-known business based in central Essex. Initially this role is offered on a contract basis with view of moving to a permanent position in the New Year.

The position of Financial Accountant will be responsible for the legal entities, reporting across the EMEA region, financial accounting and ensuring a timely and accurate monthly close.

The role:

• Maintain and control monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet reviews with internal and externa auditors
• Prepare monthly intercompany invoices
• Analyse cost centre expenditure with cost centre owners
• Provide commentary and variance analysis on monthly actuals
• Management of fixed asset postings and reconciliations
• Month end accruals review
• Daily reconciliations and bank postings

The person:

• Part qualified in either CIMA, ACCA or ACA
• Educated to degree level
• Experience of a shared service environment would be desirable
• Excellent excel and accounting software knowledge
• Experience of reporting at month-end for multiple European entities
• Results orientated individual
