In this role you will be responsible for the generation of sales leads, the support of our UK customer base and regional Business development Managers.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Support the External Business Development Managers (BDM's) to achieve & exceed the annual sales territory revenue targets.

* Produce quotes and contracts when required from the information provided by the BDM.

* Cold call business development & customer need generation.

* Warm lead follow-ups & appointment setting.

* Existing customer account management; improve & extend (e.g. further new product introductions).

* Researching, identifying & developing short & long-term selling opportunities.

* Achieve KPIs and targets as set by the business.

* Ensure CRM record keeping is up to date & accurate including management of the sales pipeline.

* Contact new and existing customers in line with agreed schedules.

* Successful conversion of inbound leads to qualified appointments for the BDM.

* Demonstrate high levels of motivation, drive and to share success with colleagues.

* Identify cross selling and up-selling opportunities.

The Person:

* Previous experience in an internal sales role, preferably in a B2B environment.

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Outlook & PowerPoint).

* Willingness to try new things with an innovative & pioneering approach

* Good listening and questioning skills enabling you to fully understand customers' requirements and problems.

* Good interpersonal and relationship building skills.

* Good geographical knowledge, both regionally and nationally.
