Emerging Talent Specialist (Maternity Cover, 12 month fixed term contract)
We're now looking for an Emerging Talent Specialist to lead our small, passionate emerging talent team on the end to end design, attraction, selection, on-boarding and development life cycle across all emerging talent programmes. Be it apprenticeships, graduates, placements or internships, you will work with the business to understand their needs and in partnership with Learning & Development specialists, recommend solutions that will help to build their future talent needs.
So what's the role?
* Work with business stakeholders to set and drive requirements and future opportunities across all emerging talent programmes.
* Design new schemes that include business requirements and initiatives (eg Diversity and Inclusion, redeployment, social mobility etc)
* To evaluate existing and recommend new channels to successfully attract talent both internally and externally across all programmes.
* Oversee the building of relationships with key education establishments including schools, colleges, universities, apprenticeship training
* providers, etc to further develop awareness of Ocado's programmes.
* Create and manage the selection process for new programmes whilst reviewing those currently in existence, looking for opportunities to
* further develop these with a view to improve diversity and inclusive
* Ensure an excellent candidate experience throughout attraction and selection to ensure maximum acceptance rates are achieved across all
* programmes
* Continue the evolvement of our on-boarding process for new emerging talent hires to include communication plans, insight days, induction,
* etc to ensure a smooth introduction to their Ocado careers
* Work with the business and People Partners to develop the effectiveness of our graduate programmes (where applicable)
* Liaise with Learning and Development professionals to maximise UK apprenticeship levy funding and opportunities for Emerging Talent
* Day to day management of the team, currently consisting of an Emerging Talent Advisor, Emerging Talent Coordinator and graduates on rotation.
So what would we like to see?
* Ability to influence at all levels
* Proven experience working within the emerging talent space
* Experience of leading and managing people
* Demonstrable ability to build successful relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners
* Strong project management skills with the ability to problem solve effectively
* Good understanding of assessment and selection tools and their providers, applicant tracking systems (ideally Greenhouse)
* Methodical worker with an eye for detail and strong analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills, comfortable in delivering presentations and facilitating assessment days
