Trainee Printer

We currently have an exciting permanent opportunity for the position of Trainee Printer for our client based in Corby. We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and develop themselves through our clients robust training programme to agreed standards. This role will form part of a crew responsible for the operation of our clients printing presses and will support the existing Pre Print team.

Pressroom Trainee Printer (Full Time):

The successful candidate would be expected to learn all principal aspects of the flexographic printing which include:

* Adhering to site safety rules and procedures;

* Paper awareness;

* Ink matching, colour technology and management;

* Machine setting and problem solving;

* Production efficiency;

* Housekeeping and maintenance of machines;

* Performing regular QC checks in line to ISO requirements.

Skills and Experience

* Able to work under pressure and at times meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining safe working practices and product quality;

* Experience of working within a busy manufacturing environment;

* Previous knowledge of operating large format pre-print printing presses or similar equipment;

* Strong technical ability;

* Excellent attention to detail and be methodical in their approach;

* Have an excellent eye for colour;

* An excellent team player;

* Must be keen, flexible, hardworking and enthusiastic.

The successful candidate will be required to work on a rotating 3 shift system Monday to Friday 6.00am to 1.30pm, 1.30pm to 9.00pm and 9.00pm to 6.00am (Monday to Thursday). This Business regularly works weekend overtime and flexibility to support this requirement is a benefit
