Our client, a Financial Institution based in London are looking for a Fluent Mandarin speaking IT Systems Engineer on a Temporary Basis who has experience within Financial Services.
The Senior IT System Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and maintenance of related infrastructure. The role is also required to liaise with external providers for IT equipment, assist in developing user manual and assist in maintenance of the FI's business operating system. Assist department head to develop, test and use new business system requirements.
Principle Accountabilities:
Manages and administers various desktop operating systems;
Manages and administers local configurations and utilities associated with desktop environment;
Assists to install and conduct test on systems and software to ensure their normal operations, including upgrades and fixes;
Administers Security controls, including management of access, user ID and provision of violation reports;
Performs proactive server monitoring for the desktop environment;
Performs Root Cause Analysis to identify and prevent operational problems;
Coordinates the installation of equipment and software necessary to meet the clients' desktop requirements in the most efficient and cost effective manner;
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with the various internal and external support teams;
Maintains and manages a working relationship with third party vendors and suppliers;
Assists to develop and maintain accurate and up to date procedures and technical documentation;
Communicates issues to team lead and regional management
Ad-hoc tasks as required by line manager.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent
Certifications of MCSE and CCNA
Skills & Experience required:
Must be Fluent in Mandarin both written and verbal
5 years' experience in information technology support
Development and data mining capabilities of small databases, familiar with the development and application of mainstream database products such as MYSQL or SQL2000.
Solid experience of management of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, OCS Server and SharePoint Server
Good knowledge on TCP/IP and networking management, and the ability to configure Cisco Switch, Router, firewall, wireless device
Thorough experience of VMware software
Operational experience of maintaining desktop, laptop and office software
Experience in finance sector a plus
