Manufacturing Production Supervisor
Circa GBP25,000 depending on experience
Permanent position
Monday - Thursday 8am-4.30pm Friday 7am-3.30pm

Our client is a well established, family orientated, Sheffield based manufacturing business of over 20 years who are now looking to add to their highly dedicated, production team. They have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting into the Managing Director you will responsible for managing a smal team of up to 9 individuals.
Day to day duties will include:
* Producing and implementing SOP's across shop floor practices.
* Maintain and regularly update Production spreadsheets.
* Managing Health and Safety issues including writing risk assessments and maintaining PPE stock levels.
* Managing and maintaing stock levels ensuring adequate levels are maintained at all time.
* Attending weekly Production meetings with Senior Management.
* Provide feedback on operational issues and suggest improvements.
* Solve any quality control issues and be able to easily identify these.
* Responsible for maintaining shop floor machinary and tools.
* HR duties including maintaining annual leave records, sickness records, training records, timesheets and conducting appraisals.
The successful Production Supervisor will:
* Have a strong knowledge of stock management.
* Be able to demonstrate experience of working in a deadline orientated environment.
* Be confident writing SOP's and be able to demonstrate this.
* Ideally have knowlegde of welding, fabrication or assembly procedures.
* Possess a strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
* Be computer literate.
* Possess excellent communication skills.
* Be able to work using your own initiative using problem solving skills.
* Have knowledge of Microsoft including Excel.
* Be able to work under pressure and possess excellent time management skills.
