PLC Software Engineer - North Nottinghamshire - Permanent Opportunity - GBP30-45k DOE + Private Health Cover/Discretionary Annual Bonus
Samuel Frank Associates require an experienced PLC Software Engineer, with knowledge of either Rockwell or Siemens systems to join a very well established systems integrator in North Nottinghamshire. The company has a full order book and is looking for an additional PLC Software Engineer to join the team to increase capacity and help deliver the software aspects to the projects.
The successful PLC Software Engineer will need to have demonstrable experience of programming PLCs from scratch as well as commissioning software on customer premises. The client expects the PLC Software Engineers' time to be spilt roughly 60/40 between the office and UK customer premises with Mon-Fri trips to site being the regular set up i.e. 6-8 weeks in the office then 2-4 weeks on site with weekends at home as very rough guide.
PLC Software Engineers applying for the position are likely to have some of the following;
* Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC software writing capability
* Process industry experience e.g. food, brewery, water sector exposure
* An ability to develop a technical specification
* Good customer facing skills as well as the personality to deal with pressure situations whilst commissioning on site.
* A logical approach to developing automation software
* A practical electrical knowledge
The client is easily commutable from the following places - Nottingham, Newark-on-Trent, Mansfield, Chesterfield and Worksop.
