A Leicestershire based manufacturing company is looking to bring in a strong Commercial Manager with experience of Customer Service, Key Accounts and Supply Chain to add to their management team.

Looking for a tenacious individual with experience of working in a growing, but lean company environment where customer service, key account management and supply chain management is key !

The role will see you initially managing a small customer service team, but the role has other elements as well and the opportunity to progress to become the "No 2" to the site GM.

Ideally you will have proven experience of building and mentoring teams and empowering them to self-manage and develop where possible. In terms of the supply chain element of the role, further work is planned to review suppliers in a more detailed and structured approach to assess for elements such as quality, on time deliveries and costs etc.

Overview of Commercial Manager role:

Day to day management of the customer service team
Management of the customer enquiries process and complaint handling procedures
Continuous improvement of the department and process and procedures
Sales support with sales team and Key Accounts
Assist team in proactively creating new sales leads and regaining lost customers
Supply chain reviews
Skills desired:

High level of commercial business acumen from sales, customer service and key accounts experience
Proven management experience of a customer service team
Ability to influence all levels of the business and drive results across accounts
Experience of working with an ERP system
A desire to continually improve processes and drive change through the department
Ability to communicate at all levels across internal and external stakeholders and proven relationship building skills
High integrity with a driven and energetic attitude with the desire to be a No 2 or higher !
Excellent problem-solving skills
