Our Carlisle site has up to 1500 employees, spanning over 3 Factories across 2 sites. The site produces around 90 million meals annually with 150 products made daily over a 7 day operation along with a turnover of GBP140 million.
Role Overview:
We're currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join our HR team at our Cavaghan & Gray site in Carlisle. We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor with FMCG background within a large organisation, who has union experience, carried out change management processes, can hit the ground running, is able to influence and coach colleagues through grievance and disciplinary processes and can use own initiative.
You will be required to deliver an effective, customer-focused HR support and advisory service to managers and employees in respect of procedural advice on HR matters, transactional HR administration, recruitment, Discipline and Grievance and performance management issues to drive the overall business agenda. You will also be responsible in delivering a high level of interaction with all departments and at all levels from production operatives to the Operations Manager in the provision of advice and guidance. You will provide specific support to Line, Shift and Production managers in terms of staff management issue resolution and Interact with HR staff within 2SFG and external organisations e.g. labour providers, local industry links etc.
About you:
* Fully CIPD qualified - Essential
* Experience working in a large Manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills
* Generalist HR experience within a commercial environment
* Good knowledge of employment law
* Experience of working with and advising managers
* First class IT and communications skills (Word, Excel & databases, SAP)
* Team orientated
* Experience of working with trade unions
