We are currently recruiting for a "Machine Operator" to be based near Stone, Staffordshire. The client is a well-established market leader in their field.

Role: To prepare and operate machines to deliver the production KPIs.

Key Objectives:

?? To ensure that they always undertake their duties in compliance with company policies and procedures.

?? To deliver 100% achievement of the production plan by ensuring material yield and machine availability is optimised.

?? To provide excellent levels of customer service always.

?? To ensure that products are produced "right, first time every time"

?? To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to the company health and safety and environment polices and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation.

Health and Safety compliance:

?? To ensure all Safety concerns are raised with your immediate Manager.

?? To complete task in line with documented risk assessments.

Responsibilities:

?? To complete short interval control, to resolve issues that are impacting performance or alternatively escalate where issues are unable to be resolved without support.

?? To comply to Raleigh's Quality standards.

?? To support Technical trials and projects.

?? To continuously challenge the status quo in relation to lost time and material losses.

?? To identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement.

?? To maintain 5's standards within the workplace.

?? To work to VODS.

?? To attend scheduled meetings on time.

?? To service as and when requested to do so by your Shift Leader.

Teamwork:

?? To support your work colleagues and Shift Leader.

Health and Safety compliance:

?? To ensure all Safety concerns are raised with your immediate Manager.

?? To complete task in line with documented risk assessments.

Corporate communications:

?? To take part in corporate employee initiatives such as Team days.

Key Tasks:

?? To Operate machinery as per the Standard Operating procedures.

?? To ensure hourly performance is monitored and recorded.

?? To identify and correct product quality issues.

?? To identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

?? To complete cleaning tasks as per standard operating procedures.

?? To record production data that ensures full product traceability.

Other Duties

?? To be aware of and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

To undertake any other associated duties which may occasionally arise.

Experience / Qualifications:

Essential

?? Educated to GCSE level 9 to 5 or equivalent.

?? Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing environment.

?? Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel.

?? PPT, and PPT Lift truck licenses.

?? Overhead crane training certificate.

?? Good communication skills with the ability to relay information at a level relevant to the audience.

?? Experience of cleanroom operations.

Desirable

?? Experience in Lean methodology.

Pay rate: GBP9.60 per hour rising to GBP10.20 per hour after 12 weeks on permanent
