Here at D&A Recruitment we are currently recruiting for a warehouse supervisor for our client based in Huntingdon. You will be required to work 4 shifts on 4 shifts off, typically between 06:00-18:00.
Job Purpose:
To control the warehouse operatives on shift to ensure efficient operational running of all outbound and inbound functions within the warehouse.
Main Responsibilities and Objectives:
Ensure all goods received are receipted in and checked in accordance with HACCP/Quality requirements (Temperature, Quality checks).
Complete relevant paperwork to comply with health and safety and food safety standards and HACCP requirements and to track the service provided.
Ensure Non-Conformance Reports are completed for all pallet/product/trailer issues and given to Traffic Operations.
To monitor and control the Returns/Quarantine Area.
Operate relevant MHE and ensure all Warehouse operatives operating equipment are permitted & authorised and that they are operated in a safe manner at all times.
Ensure all MHE users complete a Pre-Check sheet at the start and end of their shift and that any defects recorded are dealt with a professional manner.
Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the accident reporting procedure.
Ensure that the warehouse is left in a tidy and hygienic condition at the end of the shift and Hygiene Records are completed.
To ensure temperature probes are calibrate weekly and the records are completed.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Uniform Guidelines, Health and Safety Policy; Quality Policy & Hygiene Policy.
Carry out other relevant reasonable management requests as required by your Line Manager.
Accurately pick orders and wrap for safe transit.
Stack products on pallet, level stacked items as far as possible to provide stability for transit reducing product damage.
Management and control of warehouse and product security.
Requirements:
Previous experience working within a similar role.
Excellent communication and customer service skills; towards colleagues and customers.
Must be physically active due to the nature of the role; dealing with heavy goods.
Must be fluent in English due to the nature of the role; being in constant communication with Planning teams, Operations teams, and warehouse operatives.
HACCP Awareness.
