Lab Services Coordinator
GBP23,000 plus bonus and benefits
The Company
My client is a successful global company that provides a variety of on-site Laboratory Services to major pharmaceutical companies. As a result of continued growth and success, they have created a new opportunity at a respected pharmaceutical customer for two Lab Services Coordinators. This role is ideal for someone with a scientific sample dispatch, stores, procurement or stocks background from a lab environment, or someone with a lab technician background that largely involves stock or inventory management.
My client is looking to recruit two candidates for this position with each role based at CB10 1XL and CB2 0AW.
This company offers a wonderful opportunity for development and career progression. They seek communicative, enthusiastic and capable scientists and technicians for their roles and reward their employees with a handsome salary and benefits and a varied and valuable working experience.
The Job
This global pharmaceutical site has a new opening due to continued growth! The position is split 50:50 between lab support and management of materials. Half your time will be spent supporting the scientists in the R&D Labs doing basic tasks such as equipment checks and waste removal and the other half to support the day to day operations of the central stores and sample dispatch facilities.
Lab Duties include:
* Delivering operational lab support as required by the research group
* Maintenance and cleaning of lab equipment
* Replenishment of consumables and stock
About You
To apply for this role, you should demonstrate:
* Multiple years' experience working in a laboratory environment (previous lab management experience is advantageous).
* Experience of shipping dangerous goods to IATA/ADR regulations advantageous
* Experience in a customer facing role is an advantage
* A Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience
* Good time management skills
