I am delighted to once again be working with this long-standing and reputable organisation as they look to expand their West Midlands Regional International Trade team with Advisers from a plethora of specialisms.

As part of this regional international trade team, your specialism will be to deliver a package of support aimed at enhancing the export capability and capacity of regional service sector businesses - providing specialist advice and coaching to support their international growth.

Your role will be as the cross-regional specialist in the services sector - working to coordinate the input of other international business advisers, providing expert advice into key activities (regional and national) and to provide enhanced opportunity for regular engagement with Head Office teams and a wider overseas network (where there are complementary trade campaigns in operation).

The Role: To design, develop and implement an effective campaign based on the key competencies of the service sector that will encourage export amongst SMEs.

Duties:

* Keeping abreast of developments within the service sector - to become recognised as the sector expert for export advice within the West Midlands region.

* Working in close collaboration with the Partnership Manager to develop relationships and coordinate activity across domestic and international internal (DIT) Stakeholders regional business support organisations such as RIBA, CIM, ICAEW, the Law Society etc

* Keep abreast to the support and resource available to SMEs from sector-related organisations and membership networks (regionally and nationally), communicating this to the business through the most appropriate channel.

* Identifying export opportunities within the sector and promoting them to the client.

* Support clients in maximising export opportunities through the provision of one:one coaching and one:many events, in order to develop international growth strategies.

Person Specification:

* The ideal incumbent will bring c5 years International Trade experience from within the service sector, in a target driven business development or commercial role.

* Sound general knowledge and awareness of issues affecting UK economy and businesses.

* Business awareness - company finance and structure, along with knowledge of the mechanics of exporting.

* Sound understanding of the DIT regional and worldwide networks and services for UK businesses.

* Strong relationship management skills, able to influence and negotiate at CEO level
