Installation Project Engineer - Mechanical

We have a new requirement for an Installation & Controls Engineer (with a strong mechanical bias) to join the Construction & Installation department, who will, alongside other team members, take responsibility for creating and demonstrating installation and commissioning best practice for our clients OSP MHE.

We're looking for somebody that has experience in installing machines, from initial unloading onsite to handover to the end user, and as part of the team, will be expected to take responsibility for the creation, modification and keeping all training/installation/best practice documentation up to date.

You will be able to install machines with other Install and Commissioning specialist team members, and when required, be able to lead and train contract resources to ensure cost-effective, consistent and 'right first time' installation of the MHE. You will identify ways to have safer, faster, more cost-effective installation methods and create business cases alongside other Ocado departments to bring the realisation of benefits to future MHE.

This is a critical role in ensuring smooth installation and handover to our clients, with many sites planning to go live over the coming years. Extensive travel, both in the UK and internationally, will therefore be expected (around 95% of time spent on site, locations dependent on requirements at the time)
