This role

This role is primarily for a waking night care position in our Extra Care services in West Bridgford but availability for occasional day time shifts is also a requirement. You may also be required to assist in the other purpose built services throughout Rushcliffe. All the customers are older people and you will support them to maintain a dignified standard of living and to live as independently as possible. The personal care and safety of our customers will be your primary focus.

MTVH are able to provide full training to you if you have the desire and compassion to take up this role. This training will ensure you provide personalised care and support services to our customers with dignity. This role does require you to work flexibly to ensure individual needs are met while maximising independence, choice, privacy and well-being, in collaboration with the senior care and support workers/team leaders. As in the main you will be a lone worker you will also need the ability to self-direct and make responsible decisions

What youll need to succeed

To be successful in this role previous experience is desirable, though we are seeking individuals who can provide a caring and supportive service to our customers with dignity. You will demonstrate you understand what good support looks like which is appropriate to the age, gender, disability, race, religion and sexuality of the customer to improve their quality of life and independence.

This is a part time position and you will need to be able to start at 10pm and work through till 8am on a flexible rota including every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) along with working bank holidays. There will be a requirement to pick up a day care shift once a month as well as to attend team meetings and training.
