A 12 months+ opportunity for a Housing Officer has arisen with the local authorities in Ferndown, on a part time basis, 18,5 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday.
The post holder will have day to day accountability for the management of properties within a neighbourhood area. With a strong emphasis on rental income management the post holder will be able to negotiate with internal services and stakeholders to deliver an excellent generic housing service to the residents.
To be a member of the Housing Office team ensuring that a high quality service is delivered to the customer in accordance with the Directorate's Housing service plans and Housing Plus initiatives. Have main responsibility for undertaking the tenancy and Leasehold Management function.
Skills and Experience:
Experience of working in front-line housing management
Thorough understanding of tenancy and leasehold management
Knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance
Able to deal with the public exercising tact and discretion
Able to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
Able to identify basic repairs and remedies
Able to visit residents in their own homes and attend site meetings
Able to attend evening meetings when requiredHours of work are 9am till 5pm, Wednesday to Friday, 18,5 hours per week.
