This company based in Medway are offering an excellent opportunity for someone who is driven, hard working and has a desire to learn. The role will allow the individual to learn, experience and get a better understanding of how a company operates by undertaking tasks that fall under different departments or core elements of the businesses activities.
* Administration - Creating and sending emails, letters and different types of correspondence. Ensuring documentation is stored and destroyed correctly. Handling incoming and outgoing post. Data entry and using a bespoke software package on a daily basis.
* Finance, Payroll and Accounting - Creating and using Excel to enter data, run and import reports, creating summary reports and graphs and reporting this information back to various sources. Invoicing and accounting duties, Sage Line 50.
* Marketing - Creating marketing material for business, including social media site content, website content and flyers etc...
* Sales - Understanding the importance of the department within the business, how to undertake sales activity and where to source new business from within the local area.
* Recruitment - Placing the companies vacancies in various places such as job boards and social media. Working with the DWP on occasions. Understanding how to initial interview potential candidates and how to shortlist candidates from their CV / Application.
* Customer Services - Assisting customers with their enquiries either via phone, email, via social media or the company website. Learning how to handle complaints and difficult situations should they arise. Providing the best possible customer service to the companies customers.
* Health and Safety - Understanding the importance of health and safety within a business and ensuring the work place adheres to the policies.
Although no experience in a role such as this is required the following would help identify the suitable candidate for this role
* Good IT Skills - Knowledge of some Microsoft Office packages
* Good communication skills - you will learn and grow confidence over time, however you must have good communication skills to base these on, both written and verbal and fluent in English. Should you speak other languages there may be an opportunity to use these, however they are not essential to the role.
* Be reliable and have good time keeping.
* Be presentable at all times as part of the role is customer facing.
* Have a "can do" attitude. Be someone who is willing to take on new challenges.
* Be flexible - the role may require you to take on new tasks daily, some may be repetitive and some may be more challenging or unexpected.
Specifics
This is a full time role (Monday - Friday) 9.00am - 5.30pm. Ideally you will be available to work these hours. However for exceptional candidates we may be able to consider a more flexible approach (such as shorter hours, part time or days off for college - if this is you please make this very clear in your application).
This is an Apprenticeship role therefore the salary reflects and meets the minimum guidelines for an Apprentice in their first 12 months. Please do not apply for the role if you feel this does not meet your needs financially. You may be entitled to discretionary bonuses.
You are entitled to 20 days holiday per year, plus 8 Bank Holidays.
The company are flexible in regards to which Apprenticeship you wish to take (i.e. Admin / Marketing / Finance / Customer Service / Recruitment etc...) as long as this fits in with the role. You will be provided with a Independent Training Assessor who will work with you to ensure you achieve your qualification at the end of the 12 months. You will also receive internal training from the company.
The company is within a short walk from the local train station and bus stops.
