Care Recruiting are currently seeking A Children's Home Registered Manager

Looking for

An exciting management opportunity has risen with our client. They are looking for a Registered Manager to manage a mixed gender Children's Home registering for 3 to 4 young people aged 8 to 18 years.

This is a fantastic opportunity, reporting directly to the Operations Manager working for an established children's organisation offering stability, staff care, funded training and support to gain relevant skills and qualifications.

Overall purpose of role

To develop and maintain effective management of a quality residential home for our clients and their young people. To ensure regulatory compliance under the Children's Home (England) Regulations 2015.

* Assist in the process of child care planning meetings e.g. LAC Reviews, Statutory meetings, Professionals Meetings..

* Contribute to the development of the organisation's policies and practice guidance.

* Ensure that anti-discriminatory/oppressive practices and issues of diversity are actively pursued in both recruitment and practice.

* Provide effective management support to colleagues and organisation including out of hours support.

* Manage and lead the team and facilitate effective and appropriate communication between staff and management.

Requirements of the post

* Either Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) or willing to work towards.

* Within the last five years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children.

* Minimum of 12 months supervisory and management of staff working in a caring role.

* An understanding of the complexities of balancing legislation associated with children's residential home.

* Committed to the concept of providing the highest levels of care for the young people whilst working within the ethos and culture of the company.

* The position will require an* enhanced DBS* check.
