We are looking for a dedicated individual to join the organisation as a Speech and Language Therapist and be a part of our multi-disciplinary team on a 12 month fixed term contract. As part of the Speech and language Therapy team you will make a key contribution to providing effective person-centred positive behaviour support. About the role

This role will be challenging but rewarding, with the opportunity to have a real impact on improving the lives of the people who use our services.

You will provide a service to the children and young people at two of our sites near Lincoln. Your role will involve providing support in both the school and children's homes. There may also be the opportunity to provide support for people within our specialist college near Peterborough. You will work under the supervision of an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to support individuals to develop skills to enable them to become more independent and able to live a lifestyle of their choosing. You will have the opportunity to build long-term relationships with young people and every day you will be able to see the impact that your support has on their learning and quality of life.

About you

You will have a Speech and Language Therapy professional qualification, and a current professional registration with HCPC. This role would be suitable for a newly qualified practitioner.

You will have knowledge of learning disability and/or autism and associated mental health difficulties and will be able to demonstrate a passion for working with this group of people. You will provide support and professional advice to other members of the team and all other stakeholders.
