Harrogate BID Brand Ambassador - Harrogate Town Centre - GBP11.50 per hour

If you are, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you to act as a brand ambassador for the town of Harrogate by becoming a Harrogate Host.
Harrogate Business Improvement District (BID) is one of over 300 such BIDs across the country, formed by businesses within a BID area who come together to make improvements to their town or city centres. They are 100% funded by those businesses and deliver additional projects and services over and above those already provided by the local authorities.
Harrogate Host: A person who has a passion for Harrogate town centre and the wider district, has a determination to see the town centre thrive and who is committed to going the extra mile to achieve a cleaner, safer, busier and better promoted town centre for everyone to enjoy.
Job Description: To patrol the Harrogate BID area daily, providing a strong and informed visitor welcome and regular interaction with town centre businesses. To ensure all environmental issues are reported through the correct channels i.e. cleanliness, damage and disrepair, graffiti, flyposting, begging and anti-social behaviour. To assist the Harrogate BID Manager and the BID Board in delivering the aims and objectives of the BID Business Plan.
The successful candidates must:
* be passionate about improving Harrogate town centre
* be willing to help others
* have an eye for detail
* be capable of traversing the town centre on a daily basis, in all weathers
* be friendly, outgoing and wanting to offer support where it's needed
* be keen to see improvements, to drive change and to monitor progress
* be forward thinking and have a positive attitude
* be happy to greet visitors, talk to members of the public, promote the town and be able to provide useful information to those who need it
* be proud to wear the BID uniform and always be extremely well presented
* be confident in using a telephone and radio
* be capable of submitting information and reports when needed
Hours of Work:
We have one post available, working 20 hours per week. The shift pattern will include weekends and some Bank Holidays as required, to meet the needs of the BID. Operational hours are Monday to Sunday, typically 08:00 - 18:30 hours although there may the requirement for occasional late-night coverage in line with seasonal events or other BID related activities.
In return you will receive GBP11.50 per hour (subject to an annual review). It is expected that additional overtime hours will be on offer from time to time as the BID requires.
