Leeds based family run recruitment consultancy is looking for an experienced recruitment team leader to lead the company's move into the Information Technology Sector.

Thornhvac is a well-established recruitment consultancy dealing mainly with manufacturers in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning sectors (HVAC). The company provides sales, management and technical staff across the UK and has developed a good reputation with candidates and clients for effectiveness and integrity.

We are in the process of launching a new division into IT recruitment called Thorn IT Recruitment focusing on developers, IT Sales and IT Infrastructure jobs.

We adopt a consultancy led approach focusing on client needs and good service. About 50% of our jobs are on an exclusive or search basis.

We encourage recruiters to set their own goals and targets according to what they want to earn and provide good quality data and systems to help them improve. We invest in a first-class training programme, the latest communication and recruitment software and increasingly in AI based productivity aids. This enables recruiters to work effectively from home or office to facilitate a good work life balance.

This role is to lead the company's entry into the IT sector and initially establish a desk in one of the growing areas of IT. Once established you will be responsible for recruiting, training and developing a team of consultants. As team leader you will have the responsibility for developing a competitive strategy within the IT market and contributing to the business as a member of the management team.

At least three years' experience in the IT recruitment sectors ideally within one of the sectors we have identified.
Must have a proven record of success in business development.
Must have have a proven record of building and developing a team in recruitment.
We are looking for proactive people who take responsibility, initiative and communicate well in a friendly and supportive manner.

In return we will reward you well. Initially this means a basic salary up to GBP45k plus an OTE of GBP60k plus based on 50% of your personal turnover. There is also a profit share scheme and a pension scheme to which the company contributes.

There are two office locations and we operate aflexible and remote working policy. One office location is a smart, modern business centre, 2 minutes from junction 46 on the M1 with free parking and pleasant landscaped grounds and the other is a city centre office close to Leeds City Railway Station
