Our client is recruiting on behalf of a UKAS accredited testing company that specialises in testing materials used in road, highway and building construction. For over 14 years, they have helped organisations to lay the groundwork that delivers high-quality results.
They are currently looking for an Operations Manager to join their growing and skilled team.

The Role
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and lead a team of field-based Technicians.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will ensure that testing activities are carried out to a high standard and customers are satisfied with the work delivered.
Specifically, you will:
- Manage and motivate the Technicians, ensuring they are engaged and perform at their best
- Make sure that adequate resources are available for jobs
- Ensure that tasks are completed in line with H&S standards
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers
- Identify ways to enhance existing operations
- Support the MD by recommending and exploring new business opportunities
About You
To be considered as the Operations Manager, you will need:
- Experience at a generalist management level, which included leading a team of field-based personnel within a defined geographic region
- The ability to build strong working relationships with teams across the business
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to lead by example and champion company standards
Other organisations may call this role Technical Operations Manager, General Manager, Field Service Operations Manager, Testing Operations Manager, Quality Manager, or Technical Manager.
Our client is also eager to hear from individuals with a background in Road Construction, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Road Testing, or Soil Testing.
This is a full-time role, working 8am – 4:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.
