ABC teachers, part of TES are recruiting for Sports Coaches to work within Secondary Schools throughout the Coventry area.
The role of a sports coach cover supervisor is fundamental in schools. You will be expected to help support and teach both KS3 and KS4 P.E and general lessons. The role involves delivering pre-set work and managing a class of 20-30 students in the absence of the teacher. You will not be expected to mark, plan or assess.
You will need to be flexible, have a desire to work with young people and a calm and authoritative manner. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has experience in coaching or is considering a career in teaching. Someone qualified is also perfect for this role who is seeking further school experience!
The successful candidate must:
Have at least 25 days experience working in sole charge of groups of children, this experience must be recent (within the last 3 years)
Act as a positive role model to both students and colleagues
Be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
Be able to engage with and motivate a broad range of pupils
Have a strong work ethic
Be organised, reliable and trustworthy
Pay
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Degree qualified (preferred but not essential) and recent experience working in sole charge of groups of children (within the last 3 years).
