We are currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Officer to join a Northampton based organisation.
The selected individual will need to have experience in a similar role and also a good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and policies.
You will be responsible for promoting and cultivating a positive culture of safety, strengthening and building relationships whilst positively influencing, collaborating and engaging all teams to ensure procedures are supported and followed.
Duties will include:
First point of resolution for any facilities or maintenance issues
Liaise with contractors if initial resolution isn't possible
Be the champion and expert in the field of health, safety, clean and tidy by demonstrating expertise, skills and leading by example Instil and promote a positive health and safety culture and engage our people and leadership team to do the same
Continuously review protective and preventative measures in the site plan
Ensure policies and practices are adopted in order to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, and accidents
Review existing practices and procedures and make them your own
Develop engaging metrics and KPIs
Collaborate on and develop the new starter induction process to ensure our people have the right training, tools and knowledge they need to get started
Create daily/weekly/monthly/annual schedules, checklists and calendars
Create an engaging employee-facing site plan, including facilities and maintenance
Create, maintain and continuously improve health and safety standards
Document processes, procedures and policies and supporting training
Create and deliver initiatives for collaboration, improvement and idea sharingThe Candidate
Previous experience in Facilities management
Yard management and maintenance/General building maintenance
PC literate
A good understanding of Health & Safety policies and procedures
