Safeguarding and Welfare Officer

Start Date:                             19 August 2020

Hours per week                   Full time, 36.25 hours per week

Working pattern                 Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Tenure                                   Term Time Only, plus one week. This equates to 39 weeks in the year, 38 of which are worked in conjunction with the   academic year.  The remaining 5 days will be worked at an agreed time

Salary/Grade:                       18-20 of the Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff Pay Spine (currently £27,329 -  £29,157 pro rata, per annum)

You will support the Vice Principal and the Pastoral Team to ensure that students’ safeguarding needs are met and that the College is meeting its statutory duty when it comes to safeguarding both staff and students.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
