21 hours per week (This service fits around the needs of the customer, it runs over 7 days a week, so you’ll need to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis, you will also need to work on our out of hours on call service)
Our client is making homelessness history, it’s a big statement, but they’re not alone in achieving it. They’re part of the national movement tackling homelessness.
They’re looking for TWO Assistant Development Coaches to join their Nights team at their supported housing scheme in Stoke.
You’ll be working during the night, with care leavers and young people in partnership with the YMCA. You’ll make sure that customers are safe and well in their homes, whilst also making sure they’re good neighbours, aware of their surroundings and mediate if there are any problems. From time to time you’ll take emergency referrals, sign-post customers to other services and welcome new customers to the scheme.
You’ll be working at night managing the building of their supported housing scheme making sure their young customers are safe and well, ensuring customers are good neighbours in the community, ensuring they follow health and safety guidance and mediate if there are any problems. From time to time you may take emergency referrals, sign-post customers to other services and welcome new customers.
You’ll be working with customers alone alongside managing the building during the night, so they need someone who is flexible and adaptable who can work night shifts and is self-motivated and calm under pressure. Ideally, they’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working with young people, mental health, safeguarding and can understand the barriers that young people face.
The successful person for this role will need to be DBS checked.
Help them to give those without a plan, voice or home to build concrete futures by tackling the issues that keep people from finding their own home.
