We are seeking ambitious, driven Student Accommodation Managers to join our student accommodation staff team in Newcastle under Lyme . This is an exciting and challenging role with the potential for real career growth with a forward-thinking company.

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week (5 days out of 7 per week)

Location: Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Student Facility Management is a growing student accommodation provider, operating purpose built student accommodation schemes nationally both privately and in conjunction with Universities.

The role of Student Accommodation Manager is very varied and requires a flexible approach to deliver the best service, which may involve at times, working on other sites, working weekends and some out of hours cover.

You will be skilled in delivering excellent customer service at all times and managing the team to achieve the highest standards of service, experience within the managed accommodation sector would be an advantage. You will need to be able to multi-task and to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.

As well as developing the core skills central to your role, Our Student Accommodation Manager will be expected to gain experience across a range of other duties as directed by your line manager. You will be expected to create a working environment which encourages team work, energy and creativity. Your key responsibilities, will include:

- Delivering excellent customer service

- Management of the accommodation and building

- Promoting sales through media/accommodation events, proactively generating leads and responding to enquiries.

- Financial reporting and budgetary control

- Prompt collection of rents and monitoring of case arrears, liaising with customers where required.

- Management and development of the team

- General administration duties

- Maintaining health and safety standards in line with legislation

In order to be a great Student Accommodation Manager, you will have:

- Experience of managing a team

- Managed accommodation sector experience

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

- Sales and marketing experience

- Ability to represent the business in a professional manner and to deliver an excellent customer experience

- Computer literacy skills, being competent with Microsoft Office

- Ability to work outside normal working hours and able to cover at short notice
