Maritime Assistant

My client is looking to recruit a Maritime Assistant initially on a temp basis for the summer based in Penzance. 

Ideally, you will have a maritime background and also have a strong customer service knowledge.

The Role is varied and will include a lot of harbour associated duties to include- conservancy, operation of wet dock gates, moorings, laid up shipping berths together with dealing with members of the public.

You will need to demonstrate also prior knowledge and understanding of the maritime industry, have the ability to handle small craft including a workboat and various petrol craft being able to work alone and show great initiative is paramount!

The position is an immediate start, on a temporary basis which will include weekend working.

Pay rate of £9 per hour and time and half if required to work between 9pm and 8am.
