Halton Housing is a forward thinking and dynamic housing association that owns and manages 6,800 homes in the Cheshire towns of Runcorn and Widnes. We employ over 300 talented members of staff, including over 60 specialist trades people in our Homes Department. We are now looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of GBP35,578 - GBP41,857 per annum.

About the Health & Safety Manager role:

Halton Housing have an obligation to act and ensure Halton Housing meets its legal requirements and complies with its statutory obligations. The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and continual monitoring and review of the Health & Safety Policy and Management System to ensure the safety of employees, customers, visitors and contractors in line with current Health & Safety regulation and associated legislation.

Our ideal Health & Safety Manager will possess the below skills and experience:

- Previous experience in a similar Health and Safety role

- A recognised Health and Safety qualification; a NEBOSH Diploma or a Certificate and working to a diploma may be considered

- Minimum Technical Membership of IOSH (Tech. IOSH) or similar

- Experience of implementing an integrated occupational Health and Safety Management System

- Management skills to develop and promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture
