Lenzing supplies the global textile and nonwovens industries with high-quality natural cellulose fibres with sites in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America.  We are a sustainable long term business which has a clear commitment to environmentally friendly technology. 

We are currently investing in our customer service provision globally for technical issues regarding the processing of all Lenzing fibres. Our primary focus is in spinning, with some knitting, weaving, dyeing & finishing. In this role you will focus on building relationships with local primary, secondary and tertiary customers. You will get a better understanding of their needs, especially in technical processing issues. You will work in close cooperation with all technical expert teams. Understanding the wide range of textile products is essential.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To provide customer service for technical issues regarding processing of all Lenzing fibres for our primary and downstream customers whilst building relationships and gaining a better understanding of unique beneficial needs using LENZING™ Lyocell for customers.
  • Understanding dry cut, mechanically crimped LENZING™ Lyocell compared to wet cut, naturally crimped LENZING™ Lyocell – working closely with production in Grimsby, UK and Mobile, US and understanding all textile products, including updating technical information.
  • Understanding quality control, releasing, special lots and concessions, to improve overall quality, consistency, performance and minimise costs, including technical support for claim management and contingent liabilities.  
  • Work with textile machinery, chemical industry and regional sales teams to ensure full customer satisfaction, including technical assistance in exhibitions, seminars and workshops.
  • Provide full support to build up and make full use of communication tolls, databases and quality management system like CRM and BMS and to provide technical support and cooperation with other customer service teams.
  • Develop ideas, assist customers, production, business development, commercial teams and research with product development, new trials and technical support into new applications in a dynamic market environment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree level in Textile Technology with a focus on spinning fibre into yarn
  • Considerable technical experience in textile production, especially in fibre spinning is essential.  
  • Experience of short staple spinning is essential
  • Stretch breaking of tow into tops and long staple worsted, semi- worsted and traditional woollen spinning would also be advantageous  
  • Dyeing & finishing technologies would be helpful with a basic knowledge of weaving and knitting 
  • Considerable knowledge of the textile market
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills  
  • Excellent English language skills essential, both written and spoken

The successful candidate will be required to travel to Austria approximately once a month. Worldwide travel also includes China, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, South Korea and Japan.
