Role & Responsibilities Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Creative Media Developer to join our bright and dedicated Studio.

The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in Creative Media, Interactive Media, Media Production, or similar. Having worked in a professional and creative environment would also be beneficial but not essential.

This role would suit someone who is able to work independently as well as part of a team; able to research and solve problems effectively; willing to learn new programmes; keeps up to date with new technologies and is able to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines.

The successful candidate will be required to get involved with the development of projects for our clients and with the design and development of our in-house projects.

Skills and requirements:

Essential

  • eLearning authoring tools such as Storyline, Lectora, Captivate, Evolve, BranchTracker or similar (inc. responsive and/or adaptive design)
  • CSS3
  • HTML5
  • JavaScript
  • WordPress

Desirable

  • Unity or similar AR, VR, MR programmes
  • Degree in Creative Media, Interactive Media, Media Production, or similar
  • Filmmaking & Video Production experience
  • MySQL
  • SQL Server
  • iOS App Development
  • PHP
  • Proficiency working in the macOS environment

Programme & Platform Knowledge

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • InDesign
  • After Effects
  • Adobe Audition
  • Adobe Premiere Pro

The focus of the role will be:

  • Apply RTS quality standards and systems to deliver on client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with RTS team members to develop engaging learning solutions to meet client needs.
  • Develop assets e.g. digital learning assets in line with technical specifications.
  • Develop engaging learning assets in line with RTS quality standards, agreed timescales and client objectives.
  • Develop digital learning assets and tools from scripts, narratives, storyboards etc.
  • Test all deliverables in line with RTS quality standards and expectations.
  • Support RTS team members to recommend reliable methods of developing digital solutions, in line with project briefs/scope.
  • Work with SMEs, the solutions team and fellow members of the operations team as necessary.
  • Establish and develop productive working relationships with RTS team members and the wider Studio team (internal and external).
  • Provide regular feedback regarding the progress of projects to the Project Manager
  • Update and maintain weekly Utilisation records, advising Head of Studio and Client Services Team of available "unsold" time, ensuring utilisation targets are achieved.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities, ensuring that all solutions deliver the RTS leading edge philosophy / premium brand.
  • Share new ideas and information with other members of the team, promoting an environment of continual improvement and support.
  • Carry out all work in a health and safety conscious manner.
