We have an opportunity available for a Night Concierge/Security to join us based in Battersea. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, we are offering a competitive rate of GBP9 per hour.

Servol Community Services provide a service for vulnerable adults who experience mental health conditions. The support staff provide the daily care required for clients at the project and as our Night Concierge/Security you will provide security, cleaning and other admin duties. Security of our scheme for both client and the building is of the utmost importance. You must therefore ensure that you are alert at all times and offer a consistent attention to all callers, clients and visitors to the building.

Your working hours will be 8pm - 8am, 4 nights on and four nights off in rotation over any one week/month/year (including bank holidays).

Key duties and responsibilities of our Night Concierge /Security:

- Provide a courteous, professional and welcoming atmosphere for all residents, their representatives and visitors to the scheme.

- Carry out regular visual and sensory checks of all internal and external inspections in the communal area(s) including all external doors and windows.

- Be responsible for the health & safety of the service users and their guests, including fire exits and evacuation pathways are kept clear

- Update at the start of each shift communication from the manager of the scheme and other day staff.

- Ensure that all visitors to the building are logged into the visitor's book.

- Ensure that security is maintained and appropriate measures taken to inform manager/police of any issues; always informing the manager on call of any security issues.

- Answer the phones calls and take messages leaving them in the communication book or where the manager/staff instruct.

- Ensure that any maintenance issues that need to be addressed are written in the communication book for staff to read the next shift. Emailing the manager of any urgent maintenance issues during your shift.

- Report any injury to persons or damage or loss of property which is likely to be the subject of any insurance claim and record all details.

- Complete all monitoring forms required during each shift to include Health & Safety, Client Activity, Accidents & Incidents.

Skills and experience required to become our Night Concierge /Security:

- Current SIA Door Supervisor licence holder

- Relevant experience in a similar role; certainly to have worked with adults requiring care/support in some capacity

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

- Good knowledge of issues relating to the security of a building

- Good computer skills

- Well organised and to be able to lone work

- Some understanding of the Mental Health and Care Industry
