Looking to join a well-established Food processing business based within an easily accessible location in between Wakefield, Bradford and Leeds? They are a large-scale business that can offer a truly varied Shift Production Manager role. Whilst this is a shift-based position, there are no nights involved and is purely days Monday to Friday.

It's an incredibly fast paced Food environment so you need to be able to cope with this and keep in mind it's the type of place where everything needs to be done yesterday! As the Shift Production Manager, you need to be a strong character and not be afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. This is going to really suit someone who prefers to be out there on the shop floor, continuously mentoring and developing your large-scale team and spotting improvements across the site.

The role:

Across your shift you will be responsible for all Health & Safety, Hygiene, Quality, Manufacturing Performance and Cost.
A proven track record of developing, mentoring and training large-scale teams is paramount.
You'll have a knack for continuously driving performance as this will be a focal point of your role as Shift Production Manager.
There could be an element of driving culture change with this position.
The team in place are crying out for someone to take the reins and instrument the improvement of their current processes.
You will assist with the coordination and control of the production process, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time and within specification, minimising waste where possible.
What you need to be considered:

Experience within the Food industry is an absolute MUST.
NVQ in Management/Team Leading
Food Hygiene Qualification
Proven track record of managing large teams.
Experience within one of the following positions: Shift Production Manager, Shift Manager, Production Manager, Production Supervisor or similar.
Clear and strong background of improving efficiencies, processes, team ability and all-round shift performance. Training, mentoring
Good knowledge of BRC and HACCP.
