Our client's equipment is the heartbeat of their customer's business, and as such they require a team of dedicated on-site Maintenance Engineers to oversee the maintenance of their equipment and provide continual maintenance and support in order to ensure that equipment is optimal, ship-shape - and their customers happy!
Role Purpose:
This vital Engineering role will involve the provision of first class mechanical and electrical maintenance, breakdown and support engineering services on all customer-owned equipment permanently on site at a customer facility.
This team role will seek to maximise operational efficiency and the maintenance of a safe working environment, all the while providing the highest level of customer courtesy in acting as an ambassador to the business and brand.
Experience required/desired:
* A high level of competency in commercial electrical maintenance - with the qualifications to prove it.
* A background and aptitude in Mechanical fields.
* Evidence of NEBOSH and IPAF training will be a distinct advantage.
* Knowledge and/or training in Safe Systems of work, Working at Height, Fire Safety and Manual Handling.
* Evidence of experience in Customer Services and ACOPS/Gas Safe will be a distinct advantage.
Duties include (but not limited to):
* Perform routine, planned maintenance on all customer equipment and observe daily, weekly and monthly tests and recording policies.
* Proactively work with the installation team, supervisor and manager to report known issues and faults, and to ensure they are effectively dealt with and closed down.
* To keep a record of parts used, maintenance performed, repairs and remedial action required.
* To provide support to cover small maintenance works on the buildings where required.
* To communicate with all team members, supervisors and managers to coordinate work around shifts to ensure all are aware of completed and outstanding maintenance/repair work as necessary
* Ensure compliance with company/industry quality systems, H&S, continuous improvement and associated procedures at all times.
* To make suggestions to aid and improve working practises to assist Continuous Improvement.
* To order parts and ensure stock locations are maintained and kept in an orderly fashion.
* Proactively develop knowledge of machinery and encourage knowledge sharing amongst colleagues.
You will be/have:
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C including Maths and English
* Experience of working under pressure, ideally from an electrical and/or logical fault-finding processes environment.
* Excellent communication skills with a first-class command of the English language.
* Inverter/PLC, Compressor Plant, Fluid Power Systems experience.
* Knowledge of Hydraulics & Pneumatics and Gas applications with an ability to read Wiring Diagrams.
* A willingness to provide a high degree of flexibility to undertake evening/weekend work and take on extra responsibilities as the business demands.
* IT literate with a fair knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook.

* 40hr working week on a rotating shift pattern (06:00-14:30 and 14:30-23:00) and alternate Saturdays paid at x1.5 time.
